Earlier today, during a FaceTime coaching session with one of our clients named Monica, who had endured a severe car accident not long ago, she greeted me with a beaming smile right from the start. Curious about her evident joy, I inquired, "What’s putting such a big smile on your face today?" She responded warmly, "I’m approaching things with a more optimistic perspective now—reflecting on how fortunate I am simply to be alive." She continued, "Initially, I believed the injuries from last year’s crash marked the end of my life as I knew it, but I’ve come to see them as the dawn of a new chapter."
Putting aside the specifics, Monica made a conscious choice to restart her journey, beginning with a mental shift that gradually extended into her actions and daily habits. Over the past several months, through dedicated healing and consistent practice, she has released the burdensome regrets of what she should have, would have, or could have done differently regarding her situation. Instead, she has advanced with poise, resolve, and an increasingly upbeat outlook on the future.
